Crushing

In the field of material processing, crushing machinery plays a crucial role in reducing large materials into smaller, more manageable pieces for further processing.

About This Process

In the field of material processing, crushing machinery plays a crucial role in reducing large materials into smaller, more manageable pieces. At Duromech®, we offer a range of advanced crushing solutions designed to meet the diverse needs of our customers. Our equipment includes jaw crushers, cone crushers, impact crushers, roll crushers, and hammer mills — each designed for specific applications and material types.

Crushing is a fundamental process in waste management and construction, breaking down large materials such as rocks, rubble, concrete, and waste into smaller fragments. This enables efficient processing, recycling, and disposal of materials across various industries.

Types of Crushers

Jaw Crushers

Use compressive force to break down materials. They are ideal for primary crushing of hard and abrasive materials, featuring a fixed and a movable jaw plate.

Cone Crushers

Operate by squeezing materials between a moving piece of steel and a stationary piece. They are widely used for secondary and tertiary crushing stages.

Impact Crushers

Utilize the principle of rapid impact to crush materials. They are suitable for softer materials and are often used in recycling applications.

Roll Crushers

Feature two rotating rolls that crush materials as they pass through. They are used for producing uniformly sized outputs and handling friable materials.

Hammer Mills

Use rapidly rotating hammers to shatter and disintegrate materials. They are effective for reducing a wide variety of materials to a desired size.

Gyratory Crushers

Consist of a concave surface and a conical head. Materials are crushed by the gyrating motion of the conical head, ideal for primary crushing of very hard materials.

Crushing Process

1

Primary Crushing

The first stage of crushing, where large materials are broken down into smaller pieces. Jaw crushers and gyratory crushers are commonly used for this stage.

2

Secondary Crushing

Further reduces the material size from primary crushing output. Cone crushers and impact crushers are typically used for secondary crushing.

3

Tertiary Crushing

The final stage of crushing, producing the finest material. Roll crushers and hammer mills are used for producing uniformly sized outputs for specific applications.

4

Screening & Sorting

The crushed material is screened and sorted by size, ensuring the correct grade is produced for each application. Oversize material is returned for further crushing.
