Duromech® was founded in 1981 as M/S Thapar Engineering Works by Shree R.L. Thapar in Delhi. What began as a small engineering workshop has grown into India's most trusted manufacturer of industrial recycling equipment.

Over four decades, Duromech has developed proprietary machines, earned international patents, and deployed over 500+ recycling plants across India and 20+ countries. Our equipment processes millions of tonnes of municipal solid waste, construction debris, and legacy landfill material annually.

We remain a proudly Indian company, manufacturing 100% from our Delhi facility, driven by engineers and environmental advocates who believe recycling done right can change the world.

1981

Founded as M/S Thapar Engineering Works

Shree R.L. Thapar establishes the company in Delhi with a focus on industrial engineering fabrication and waste handling equipment.

1990

First Trommel Screen Manufactured

Duromech delivers its first rotary drum trommel screen to a Delhi municipality, marking the beginning of its waste screening journey.

1999

Rebranded as Duromech®

The company registers the Duromech® brand, signaling a new era of advanced industrial recycling machinery.

2005

First International Export

Duromech machines are deployed in Jamaica and Bahrain — the beginning of a global footprint that now spans 20+ countries.

2012

Ballistic Separator Launch

Duromech engineers introduce the Ballistic Separator — now India's most widely deployed waste sorting machine for 2D/3D fraction separation.

2018

Patented 1000 TPD Rotor Screen

Duromech receives a patent for its landmark 1000 Tonnes Per Day Rotor Screen — the largest-capacity screen of its kind made in India.

2022

500+ Plants Milestone

Duromech celebrates installation of its 500th plant — a legacy waste bio-mining site, cementing its position as India's most deployed recycling equipment manufacturer.
